Stablehost believe they are the most powerful hosting company around and customers should worship them like god. You have no rights to ask questions that stablehost don’t want to answer, else they will kick you off and cancel your account.

Here you go ! Another web hosting company named stablehost  (www.stablehost.com) in the web hosting world tries to be smarter and give something special to their customers. Stablehost believes that to become successful in the industry they need to something different or offer something special to their customers. Which is fantastic idea. So, what does stablehost offer exactly ? Find out in my stablehost review below !

I ordered a USA hosting from stablehost.  They has Europe hosting as well. I thought why not host a website in Europe hosting as well ? And guess what ? I ordered it lol. But the nameserver were same as my USA account. Then i thought, well this isn’t that good. I will ask for a refund. … stablehost did reply me saying “We use clustered DNS, the same nameservers for all accounts (US and Europe)”. But anyways i asked them to process my refund. They simply replied me back with account cancellation process. I was too busy and just replied ” Guys, please cancel it and refund. I don’t want to cancel my whole account, just the second order”. As i said earlier, i was busy and didn’t had time to login, navigate where and how to cancel the account, fill the form etc .. (I am not always busy, else i wouldn’t have created this post lol). Then i get the following reply :

We don’t cancel accounts ourselves due to security, you can cancel it via the customer portal.

We’ve said this 3 times now. Once it’s canceled, we’ll refund your purchase price.

I’m closing out this ticket, please call us if you have any other issues, since apparently you don’t understand what we’re trying to tell you.

What ? This sucks. I am not a native english speaker but i do understand english little. 🙂 Instead of supporting, he is trying to close the ticket ? Well, closing a thread is never a solution. The problem is “nothing” and he is trying to run away …lol lol lol

– We don’t create accounts either, we point people at the automated order form.

Let us know once you’ve canceled your account and we’ll put you in for a refund — next time, try to be a little more nice, it goes a long way.

— Brian

Ok i know that. Try to be nice ? I will not. You have to deal with every type of customer if you want to run successful business. Loosing a customer is never a successful business though.

Then, before i replied anything he replies : (Check the image above for time difference of not even 1 minute)

Actually — please move your other account from us as well… We’ll be canceling it in 48 hours and giving you a full refund. We’re not interested in accounts that harass us.

Have a good one.

— Brian

Ah ! Fortunately i had nothing to move. I was yet to upload any files to stablehost. In fact, i hadn’t changed the nameserver yet. So thank god ! Else, i would have to waste more time changing the files etc.

Summary :

Stablehost sucks. This is my personal opinion (stablehost review) based on my 1 week’s experience.  They are disabling my account and canceling my previous order. When i requested them to cancel one of my order they didn’t do it. They asked me to cancel from WHMCS. Once i did as requested, they cancelled all my orders. LOL – Just before they said they do not cancel account automatically.

 About my Hosting History :

Really tough ! I started from free hosting. Then searched for cheap hosting. Slowly, i got experience, knowledge etc. I choose mediatemple. Were good but i changed to knownhost Hybrid server where i currently pay $115 per month ++ extra for goodies. I am customer of Hostgator (Satisfied), and other most of the hosting around. Just wanted to test stablehost after seeing their ad on webhostingtalk forum. Everything was going fine and would have gone but they don’t have patient or control over themselves and cannot deal with customers. Nothing bad. Though i am coolest guy on the planet i get angry. I also don’t care much about new customers and i loose many of them every month. This is because i am full packed and do not have time to take new clients (Unless they are great people). But this is not the good way to expand business. A hosting company specially .. Should always value their customers, deal with them nicely though they don’t. There is no need to fight and argue as if you are participating in some discussion thread. Just do your duties …

Ahhh … lets be cool again. I don’t give a shit to stablehost. It doesn’t matter to me. It doesn’t matter to them as well. Hope you found my review on stablehost helpful somewhat and will help you to decide. May be their server are great but i will not be recommending you based on the way they dealt with me …

I found too many good reviews of stablehost which is very unrealistic. Webhostingtalk itself sucks, if you pay them, they are going to promote your business whether you are good or not. Stablehost is new in business as far as I know regardless of what they say. Let them grow (if they will) and then see if they can manage that many customers. Handling 10000 customers is not the same as handling a million.

Yes, I had the same experience with this “Brian” at Stablehost as well. He’s exceptionally rude.

I would recommend everyone stay FAR away from stablehost

Obviously they can’t cancel your account via email because email is easily spoofed…

You were to lazy to click a link, type your login, and click cancel?

From what you posted, you seem to be completely in the wrong here.

Please post your replies as well, it seems that this is a one sided review? I don’t know a single company that would cancel your account if you sent it in through email, you’re in the wrong here, sorry to tell you.

25 January 2012 and I can say this poor trained persons at stablehost need lessons abut marketing and customer support

they act like “the only 1 web host in the planet” and thats really ridicolous!

I can say you if you contact them in the wrong day and they are in bad conditions so do not ask for refunds or do not ask any questions! because they will say you something “we don’t want to do busines with you, next time be more nice”

nicee!!? and what about you freak!?

Right. Stay away from StableHost. They canceled my account for writing about it on WHT. I just wrote that they suspended my account and that I was waiting for their reply to my support ticket. I did not complain about anything. About 24 hours after I paid and they reactivated my account, they suddenly told me to move out. 24 hours after that announcement, they canceled my account. On WHT they claimed that they had given me a choice to move out of their servers, but that is not true. They just kicked me out. I can’t believe what they did to me because they knew well that I had been advertising StableHost to more than 10,000 people. After they kicked me out of their servers, I searched the Web and found that the same thing happened to some other people as well. I must say that StableHost is not a friendly company that you cant trust. If your are serious about your websites, you had better stay away from StableHost.

Rob, you don’t seem to understand what I am talking about. It is not about the account suspension that I am talking about. The account suspension was past history when I was kicked out. I was a 100% paid customer when I was kicked out.

Rob, do you know any other companies that do the same thing to their customers? Companies that kick out their customers who has ALREADY PAID. At least StableHost is the only company that I know kicks out their paid customers. I would be extremely surprised if all the companies around the world did the same.

It is like this: I missed a train. So I bought a train ticket and took the next train, saying that I missed the last train, so I am taking this one. Then all of a sudden, a man from the railway company came up to me, opened the door while the train is still going fast, and kicked me out of the train, throwing money at me.

I just had to post, because these guys are awesome! I got a domain registered, with free privacy protection (they should really advertise that, an excellent feature for free) and a one years hosting service for $30, expecting to get $30 worth of service. You have full access to the latest cPanel, my site is always up, and most of all when you submit a ticket they are ON IT! This guy “Anthony” don’t know if it’s his real name, but he back and forthed with me six messages over the course of a few hours and helped me resolve a complex problem. Best of all their responses come to your email, I HATE when a company responds to a ticket and then you have to click a link to go to their site portal, enter your credentials, find the ticket and view it.

My only complaint is their own control panel is a little stripped down. The site has that slick minimalistic feel to it. However to be fair, as soon as I submit a ticket someone walks me through how to accomplish my task through cPanel, which in it’s own way is good education.

Opinions are like assholes, everyone’s got one. If there’s a bad CS rep call into a manger and report him.. he will get fired. However don’t let one persons bad experience turn you off just because he has a blog.

Nerdie is a jerk on WHT. It sure doesn’t make Stable Host look any good. Every response he has is crap. One of his responses was: Are you bi-polar?

Here is my response: Who cares? What if I am? Is it going to kill you?

I feel sorry for the clients that are in India or a different country that doesn’t speak English if he cannot read simple English for sure.

Hello, nim6us. There is nothing awesome about StableHost. I take uptime stats, and the stats show that StableHost is no different from the average web hosting companies. Downtime sometimes happens, especially after a few months. As for technical support, it normally takes two hours for them to reply. Billing support may take more than several hours. They have only seven-day backups for your website. These are no different from services offered by the average web hosting companies.

>If there’s a bad CS rep call into a manger and report him.. he will get fired.

You are wrong here. No one is talking about their employees. We are talking about Brian the nerdie. He seems to be the boss running the whole business. Since Brian will never be “fired,” you can never be sure about the safety of your website as long as it is with StableHost. That is what I wrote above.

StableHost is a small company. It probably has only a handful of employees. I personally estimate that they have only two or three employees. Furthermore all of them could be part-time workers. That means that StableHost is the same as Brian the nerdie himself, the source of all the trouble.

You really cannot offer an honest review about your personal experiences with some hosts on the WHT. If it’s not a glowing review then you feel like you are being attack on WHT (gang mentality). With that said, I’m sorry you had a negative experience with Stablehost. You should take part of the responsibility but that still does not release them from rudeness no matter how irritating that Brian guy found you. He should have just reinstate that it’s their policy that customers cancel their own accounts and your account would remain open until you find the time to do so and your refund will be process once that is done (they have a 60 days money back guarantee, so you had plenty of time). I have Stablehost since Oct of 2010. We had a rough patch in Feb of 2011, were I thought I needed to find a new host. They were very polite and professional and trying to resolve my issue. Just to give you another perspective.

Why not post your own reply as well? It’s too 1-sided. Make sense if you replies just way too rude for them to handle. Not every hosting company will tolerate with customers whom obviously does not interested in hosting with them though.

It might be their billing or service “policy” or something for clients to “confirm” any cancellation, and in this case, from their reply it’s for security reason. Say like an unauthorized person try to cancel your account or something. Clicking a link is very simple and usually will take a minute or two. So initially it is your own fault for not doing your part.

I was goggling the net for knownhost reviews as am planning to host my company sites with them, then came across your site. I see your one-sided post and am interested to see your replies with them.
NOTE: I am not one of their client (Stablehost). Just stating my opinion.

Also, WHT is the one source where you can find most trusted and reputable web hosts. Unlike most “hosting review sites” which usually doing the reviews for money (affiliate link etc). The ads in WHT? Well most smart people wont depend on “paid ads” for choosing web hosting company.
NOTE: I am not an active member of WHT, rarely post anything. But surely a frequent visitor of the site for hosting reviews, offers etc, when I needed them.

Hey Reina

I posted my opinion and i am approving other’s comment. I dnt have anything to reply as everything is posted in my post. The comments above are by other uses who used stablehost and that is their opinion. I respect their opinion too and thank all for stepping by here.

I was not too rude for sure. 🙂 Its my personal opinion and i didn’t like them. Its duty of company to handle every rude emails nicely. (They shouldn’t be rude, they can just say, you are not supposed to be rude if you want us to reply)

Knownhost, i was way too angry with them and was very rude ..But they handled me nicely and i was impressed. I am with them for 6++ months now. Oh.. its nearly a year now. 😀 They are indeed one of the best !

Well, I stumbled upon this article looking for Stablehost reviews; I’m thinking about opening an account with them, and, same as you, I found only good reviews; this one was the first negative I found…

…but after reading it, I actually understand it is POSITIVE review, and it tells good things about Stablehost!

1. They replied to all your tickets; I see replies were very fast and helpful. They explained the issue with DNS. They accepted to refund.

2. They don’t create any troubles for refund; you asked them for refund, and they approved it, no problems!

They want you to fulfill standard procedure for refund, which shows they are professional! They don’t deal with your account – they want YOU to do what you need to do, and then they will process refund! I would be very worry if they did the opposite – if they accepted your request to cancel your account, that means they go into accounts of their members. But it seems their procedure is not to do that, and it is very professional move from their side!

3. They evaluated you as customer who causes too much headache compared to the money you give, so they don’t want to operate with you, returning you all your money! That is their right, and I fully understand and support that decision!

But pay attention to this detail: they gave you full refund, and allowed you 48 hours to move your content! That is generous, and once again, very professional!

C’mon kid, grow up: hosting provider sucks when it does not reply to your tickets, when does not refund you; when uptime or speed are poor, so your site is more down than up; those are real issues. The issue that you described in fact supports other good reviews I read, and if I don’t find some other negative reviews (I mean, really negative), I am going to open an account with them!

Thanks! 🙂

@planseko – Thanks. They are definitely good hosting providers but i was compelled to write this because of guy at stablehost who has attitude problems. Its not about replying tickets and issuing refund folk. Its about how they do it. A guy terminates my account without any notice because i was not polite with him ? That is not called professional stuff. At least not for me.

I was hosted on StableHost servers, I had the same bad experience with that Brian guy! Very rude and did not seem to care one bit about your problem. With that kind of attitude I rather just fix the issue myself. Horrible experience! Im glad I switch over to Hostlatte, they been giving the customer service experience I want! In the web hosting industry customer service is what keeps your business going. Good luck to anyone who support Rude StableHost Staff.

I have been with stablehost for a few years now and have had very few issues. I know my way around linux servers and Mau / Anthony have been great at letting me look through my own logs. One of the sites was injected and they were on the case quicker than a fat guy on a cream cake. Language and cultural barriers will always be tricky but sometimes giving that extra bit of patience and understanding works in both directions.

Just for the record, I’m using stablehost for a year. Shared server, which I’m paying something like a few bucks a year, works great. I had one problem, on which customer service helped me a lot.
I don’t think you got them right..

Stablehost need to revise their cancellation processes. They have EU Servers that are quite good but if they treat customers badly they’ll only lose long term. There are far too many competitors out there to get customer service wrong.

If you do not know why we are where we are, you can just submit a support ticket of some kind at StableHost, preferably a billing inquiry on a weekend, then post a message at WHT saying how long you have been waiting for a reply from StableHost, ant then see what happens.

To add details to my own story, I paid two U.S. dollars to StableHost as the late charge they asked me to pay, in addition to the regular payment. There is no legitimate reason for them to kick me out.

lala August 11, 2013 at 12:39 pm

Old blog post but I just read this.

I’d kick you out too. You have the time to write a bad review but not enough time to click a single link and refund yourself? While at the same time you can reply to their ticket multiple times throughout the day.

It’s not even laziness that is the issue here, it’s stupidity.

Reply

Sennin August 17, 2013 at 4:21 pm

lala, you are completely mistaken. I never wrote a bad review about StableHost until they finally kicked me out and terminated my account. Until that time I had been promoting StableHost earnestly. All I wrote a few days before they kicked me out was that I was waiting for their reply to my support ticket. They did not like what I wrote and kicked me out.

Let’s compare it with another web hosting company such as Hawk Host. I wrote that Hawk Host is slower in loading (showing) my website than 2GBHosting is. Hawk Host noticed my post and kindly suggested that they were willing to move my website to another data center of theirs. I declined their offer, saying I was not complaining about their speed. In any event, they never cancelled my account.

The problem with StableHost is that they might kick you out in such a case. So let me summarize what is wrong with StableHost.

1. StableHost kicks out their customer if he or she writes something annoying to them.

2. StableHost does not give their customer enough time to move their website to another web hosting company when they kick out their customer.

3. StableHost does not listen to their customer when they kick him or her out.

I find StableHost’s business practice extremely unprofessional. If you are interested, details have been uploaded at the following URL: http://www.senninsshield.com/stablehost.htm

Reply

Sennin August 17, 2013 at 4:55 pm

I have copied the support ticket that terminated my StableHost account so that people can easily read it here. The messages have been rearranged chronologically from the top, going down to the bottom. There is a mistake in wording by Brian. He probably meant “your expectations” when he wrote “our exceptions.” Since there could have been much better ways to cope with their problem, StableHost clearly cancelled my account within 24 hours as RETALIATION.

I was googling around to find out more about SH before I bought their shared hosting plus scheme and found this. It sounds like you’re completely in the wrong and I’m actually quite impressed that SH didn’t suck up to keep your money and that they actively got rid of a problem customer. I’ve decided that they’re definitely the right choice for me

It looks like you received a bad apple of the company. Stablehost has been nothing but helpful, even ended up saving me money and telling me i didn’t need to pay $3 a month for an extra service i wouldn’t even use.

Obviously if your attitude is bad then some places just don’t want to or have to deal with you. If you can’t read/understand what they have been telling you then you should find a company that supports your native tongue.

The only part that I see sucks about stablehost is their customer represnetative “Brian” , everyone else that I’ve seen, reviewed, encountered have been nothing but helpful and great reviews.

Web hosts that work for some people may not work for you so goodluck in your search for the right company but I will definitely be staying with stablehost for any of my future web hosting needs.

Hello, Timothy, First of all, I never had a bad attitude with StableHost.

I wrote that I had been waiting for StableHost to reply to my inquiry for five hours. It cannot be called “a bad attitude.” If you think it is, you had better ask your parents or teachers about it to see if you are right about that.

As far as I know, this man, Brian, who you say sucks, is not a customer representative at StableHost. According to my knowledge about StableHost, Brian is the owner and CEO of StableHost, a small company.

I have been running hundreds of websites for 15 years and have been customers of many web hosting companies around the world.

I certainly had the WORST experience with Brian’s StalbeHost in my 15 years of webmastering.

Try ScalaHosting or Hawk Host. I normally ask ScalaHosting first when I start a new website, and if they do not have a new server, I try Hawk Host next.

Or if you want to save money, you may want to use 000webhosting.com, a free webhosting service, with amazing RAID 10 mirroring. Their uptime is 99.447% – 99.841% from the day they started publicly showing server monitoring stats to this day. Confirm it yourself by visiting:

http://www.serviceuptime.com/users/monitoring.php?S=6c8ef11fcca35bab3d971cdce3d7179b&period=

Why do you want to spend your precious time and money on Brian’s StableHost?

I was looking for StableHost reviews and found this as the only bad review but I only see good things, it is crazy! After reading the author and her friend Sennin I am able to see they’re looking for something else.

The author’s web hosting takes around 1-2 minutes to load, your hosting account is on an overloaded server, pricing is not everything in life.

The friend Sennin didn’t pay and got mad because it was suspended.

It is 2021, this post is very valuable for the company and totally convinced me to go with them.
